We head to Bordeaux to meet UBB, discover the winelands and visit Libourne, a club with the most expensive rugby pitch in the world, to hear stories of William Ryder.

Rugby Journal issue 23

Excellent in-depth articles. Should be compulsory reading for all at RFU H.Q.
A must for any Rugby Union aficionados.

Very impressed by the articles and productions standards

Straying from original aim

Originally Rugby Journal was created with the aim of celebrating the game at all levels, I have been a happy purchaser of every edition. Yet the editorial of this issue called for the destruction of the Premiership clubs and the English league in a glib fashion seemingly without thought for the hurt this idea would cause. Extremely disappointing to see the magazine stray away from it's founding idea.

Excellent issue

Magnificent issue, one of the best (if not the best). Thanks for sharing so many stories of grassroots rugby and of so many people who honor the game!
